About the Event

National Virtual Conference on Recent Advances in Materials Science (NVCRAMS – 2021) is organised by the Department of Physics in collaboration with ISPA. The conference aims to proclaim knowledge and share new ideas amongst the professionals and students from research areas of Spectroscopy, Crystallography, Biophysics, Medical Physics, Molecular Dynamics, Materials Science, Crystal Growth and Nanotechnology to share their research experiences and indulge in interactive discussions and technical sessions at the event. The Conference will also have a space for colleges/institutions to present their services, products, innovations and research results. The conference would create a platform for the scientists to interact with research scholars on the latest findings in their respective fields. The research papers of the conference intend to throw light on the application oriented innovative research in their respective fields.

The Department of Physics was started in the year 1993 with an initial intake of 60 students per branch. The Department of Physics caters the needs of Science, Engineering and Technology programs. It imparts knowledge in Applied Physics, Materials Science, Basics of Electronics circuits & devices and Engineering applications and New Engineering Materials. The Department of Physics has strived hard to impart quality education to our students and keep them updated with the latest trends in technology that meets the present basis for all the branch of study. To promote higher education, M.Phil. Full Time programme was started in the year 2009. In the year 2014, a full time M.Sc. in Physics programme was started. The department has produced more than 200 M.Phil. Scholars, 6 Research Scholars have obtained their Doctorate Degree and 14 Research Scholars are pursuing their Ph.D. degree. The Department h-index is 25, more than 250 papers are published in reputed journals. The Department strives to achieve its vision by its highly qualified and dedicated team of faculty members. The areas of research interests spans a wide range including Medical Physics, Materials Science, Spectroscopy, Molecular Dynamics, Crystal Growth and Nanotechnology. The Department has established a Crystal Growth Lab with the facility of SR method.

“Indian Spectro Physics Association (ISPA)” is a brain child of Veteran Professor and Scientist Dr. S. Gunasekaran. ISPA was started on April 23, 1998, it is a registered society under whose auspices, conferences, workshops and seminars are organized. ISPA is the peak of a strong belief that enlightening young minds and empowering them to pursue research through Spectroscopy. ISPA has an enviable record of having organized 10 International conferences and 15 National Conferences. ISPA also has organized 16 State Level Technical Seminars in Physical Sciences for PG and M.Phil. students, since 1999. Indian Spectrophysics Association (ISPA) finds its place in encouraging renowned and young scientists by honoring them with ISPA Awards in the recognition of the research findings of the scientists. 3 Veteran scientist Awards, 21 Life Time Achievement Awards and 58 ISPA Dr. S. Gunasekaran Awards are given to researchers who have made excellent contributions in the field of Research, during Conferences/ Seminars organized by ISPA.

The authors intending to participate in this conference are requested to send their abstracts of their research findings within 250-300 words (MS Word, 12pts, Times New Roman with 1.5 line spacing) on all topics related to the focused areas to nvcrams2021@gmail.com on or before 14th September 2021. The technical committee shall duly inform the oral presentation to the authors of the selected abstracts. Proceedings shall contain the selected abstracts of oral presentations and invited talks.
